Wiring Mess!
Hey guys, if you remember me from last time, I was having problems setting my system up. Well, now I have it working ok, but I would love all the speakers to work, rather than a couple. Ok here's the thing. When I was last putting the head unit in, I was not getting any sound, due to the stock amp. I ripped that sucker out, and now the speakers work, but not all of them do. I used the wiring from the stock amp to make a wire harness for the Head Unit, but it's not working for all the speakers. The think is... all the wiring for the harness is different colors than the wiring for the speakers. I have no idea which wires go to what speaker. Now the only reason I did this was because the first time I tried installing the HU, I could not find an amp bypass harness for the HU. I followed instructions on how to take out the amp, so you just have the harness for the wires to the speakers, and the regular harness. Now, since I want all the speakers to work, do I have to go through trial and error with them? Or can anyone help me on schematics and tell me which color wires go to which speakers in the car. My car is in my sig, so there's a start. Please help me, as I'm tired of only hearing my right side speakers work. Also, my head unit is 4 channel, is there any way I can get all six of my speakers to work for it?
hope this helps pal

my opinion--ditch the amp harness and re run wire to each speaker and make the connection to the deck yourself. lot of work but worth it in my opinion.

Agreed...ditch factory stuff. It's a beast to work with.
As for getting all 6 speakers to work - yes. HOWEVER - you need to verify the coil resistance of those front speakers to determine what is the best way to hook them up. Last thing you want to do is goof and burn out the amp on your head unit.

Start all over, if you can take every last componet out, even the speaker wire if you can. If not that ever think of taking it to a pro? It only cost about $60-75 for a re-wire. which would basically do what your trying to achieve
