Default '13 Shaker - Underwhelmed

I'm deaf in one ear so I'm generally not very picky about audio and I don't listen to loud music since I'm very protective of the still working ear. I've got a gt premium with the shaker system + electronics package and my initial impression of the audio is: crap.

I'm coming from an s2k with a full aftermarket setup. Pioneer head unit, diamond 4 channel amp, pair of components I can't remember the brand of, and a 10" sub in the trunk. Anyhow, not a great system but way better then what I'm hearing from my shaker system.

I'm getting very little audio from the rear deck. It sounds like just one little mid-high speaker back there.
Bass is weak and distorted just from turning it up loud enough to hear over the insanely loud fans on full blast.

Is this what others are getting from their shaker?

Just took a look.. TWO little mid-high speakers in the deck. Weak.

I'm having trouble finding amp/wattage specs for this thing. Anyone have a link to some? Gotta figure out what it'll take to unsuck this system.

I assume it's the 500. I didn't get the subs in the back.

If the 2013 500 is the same as the 2012, you can get 8" replacement subs from shelby. I replaced the factory amp with a sony with speaker inputs and used the rear speaker connections for the input to the amp.

I think my preference would be to pull the 8" subs and the 6x8s and put components there along with the rear deck + a real sub in the trunk. More money then I want to divert from other mods tho. So it's gonna have to wait.

Here is the combo I used, the cost was about $450.00. The big expense was the speakers , which were about $150.00 and the Amp which was about $200. I used Pioneer 6x8s for the doors, they were under $100.
