Default Mach 460 to iPod/iphone

Hey guys I have a 99 cobra with the Mach 460 sound. I have the factory head unit and CD player (single disc). I want to hook my iPod to it. I have seen poeple do it on 6 disk changers and through the tape desk. I was wondering is it possible to use the cable for auxiliary port to listen in and how to install it. Really don't care about charging it while in the car. Ne suggestions

Depending - and it really does depend - on what version of the Mach 460 head unit you have, you can get a PIE adapter (see my sig) and it's basically plug-and-play. I will say that you WILL NEED TO LOOK AT THE BACK OF YOUR CURRENT HEADUNIT TO ENSURE OF WHAT YOU ARE GETTING BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.

If you're not above doing some soldering and slight modification to your single DIN Mach radio you can do what this guy did in the link below. I did this same mod a couple of years ago myself. Works like a charm. The lower single CD unit is pretty much worthless and if yours works consider yourself lucky. They're known to jam or just burn out.

The explanation is rather round-about, but I used it to add a 3.5mm jack to plug into.
