Sync volume on phone

Sync volume on phone
Searched and didn't see this. Anyone know a trick to get sync to remember the volume position when using the phone? Every time I make a call I have to crank the volume in order to hear anything. Any way to get sync to remember the last phone volume setting? 2010 GT
