any one know a good song/band/artist/group that will really test out all parts of your system, not just the subs?

311 - Transistor album. They really know how to mix a CD....the acoustic tracks will give your system a full range workout.

theres this one band MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) which have some crazy songs.. i think the band is full of ****.. the music isnt even that good but it tests probably every possible note.. its like techno/rap/rock all mixed in.. so far it only sound good one my friends 2,000 dollar system.. on other systems it didnt sound nearly as good.. so if you wana see if your system has what it takes..theres a good amount of songs they have that will definately give your speakers a good work out.

If you like guitar/hard/hairband rock, then either of the first two Firehouse CD's sound killer. You may not like the music, but the engineer got it dialed in great IMO. I love cranking that CD up - very clean and clear in all aspects. As a musician I just think the guitars (both rhythm & lead), bass guitar, and entire drum kit sound awesome.

I can see how Linkin Park would be a good choice too.

If you like instrumental stuff - George Lynch (Dokken) put out a solo CD back in the early 90's (just called George Lynch) that was also engineered pretty well. There are 3 or 4 instrumentals on it that offer a variety of good stuff from acoustics, sitars, bluesy guitar, clean guitar, classical guitar and of course typical GL shred guitar

I hate to admit it but "gold digger" by kanye west hits! 50 cent feat. Mobb deep, outa control remix seems to hit the hardest/ cleanest in the stang....

never tune mids and highs to rap, but you can set up your subs to rap
A well known but seldom herd band called BLUE MAN GROUP (The Intell pentium computer commercials) actually has great tracks to balance out your system to
