Default Anyone installed this jl audio sub in a convertible

Have a 2014 gt convertible and was wondering if this jl audio 10 inch shallow sub would work very well.

Here is the link for crutchfield. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_13610TW3/JL-Audio-10TW3-D4.html

Thanks

Generally speaking, shallow subs don't have the same power as normal subs, and since you have a convertible you will want as much as you can to make sure you can hear it when driving, top up or down.
Having said that I have no experience with that specific sub, but my JL W3 works great in my trunk, and I know shallow sub technology has improved quite a bit since I did most of my sub research so it might work out just fine. Make sure you get an amp that matches the sub, so a 400 watt RMS amp is the max you would really want.

Just my 2 cents...
