It's all about the head unit. A good head unit will make any speaker sound amazing. If I were you I would invest in a good unit and leave the speakers the way they are. I had a Pioneer head in my GT, I thought it sounded good, however I put in a Kenwood excelon KVT/DVD player and it sounds unbelievable. Just my thoughts. HMMMM good head [8D]

Add a custom EQ, some crossovers, amp the speakers, and get rid of the Sony headunit. Sub out the Jensens for something purdy, maybe Elemental Designs or Image Dynamics (mmm), and you might start a trend [sm=bling.gif]

actually everybody's ears are different. It really depends on how you tweak it, the style of music you listen to, whether your system is set up for that type of music, and whether or not it sounds good to you. I know alot of people who don't really hear the subtle differences in music so a relatively crappy system can make them happy

The stock system actually sounds pretty good this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is considerably more balanced than your aftermarket stuff is. You may have more bass, but you probably aren't as smooth through the crossover sections as the stock system. How are the vocals in your system? Go listen to your Dad's, and you may be shocked.
