Default Whining Noise

Hey guys...
Questions.

I own an IPOD with the tape deck adaptor for my Head Unit. I get a whining noise from the speakers after I push in the tape adaptor for the IPOD. The whine disappears after I eject the tape and i play the radio. Any answers to this issue??
Thaks

A cheaper way to go about getting your iPod to play is with any of the adapters that allow the radio to pick up the iPod through a radio station. I own two of those, one that plugs into the top of my iPod and one that is a cradle that my iPod sits in and plugs into my cigarette lighter. I no longer use either of them because I have now gone with the hardwired option that plugs into the back of my aftermarket head unit and then to my iPod.

Whiteboy....
Does that Radio Frequency adaptor for the top of the Ipod work well and hows the Ipod sound coming thru the radio frequency ?
I don't want to buy a new head unit. I have had this head unit for years and it works perfect.
Thanks

itll be as good as a radio station. the best way to do it is through rcas but that fm modulator might work fine for you.

the best way to connect an ipod, is through a pioneer ready headunit.. but it will cost ya. it displays your songs/tracks/albums on your headunit display too

Please do not advise people on car audio. What gives you any indication that the "best way" to connect your IPod is a Pioneer deck?

And why does it have to be a Pioneer unit. Alpine has an iPOD interface that works the same. The tape deck adaptor sucks for clean sound. The Fm mod will be better, wont be the best way which would most definatly be the direct connect. An FM modulator you can pick up somewhat cheap as well, I have seen basic ones for $10, and some of the nicer ones like Belkin and Monster for upwards of $35-$40.
