Default 1999 AMP Installation.

I am going to run my wiring from the battery, head unit, etc, and I was wondering if anyone else has done it themselves? I am trying to run it under my carpet / seats and into my trunk. The only problem I am having is getting to the head unit and getting under the carpet. Does anyone know where a DIY is or can help me? Pictures preferred. Thanks.

i went below the door under that panel thing then around the side of that backseat, not under them but tucked where they cant be seen obviously cuz i couldnt get the wire under the seat althought i bet it could be done, and as for getting to the headunit are u just trying to figure out how to get the wires there unseen or getting to the back of the head unit? if you need to get to the back of it,take ur shifter bezel off and then take the whole front radio bezel off,it brings the air vents and radio with it,not the instrument panel thing tho......u prolyl have a couple clips to get the radio thing onbut i didnt.....I dont know if this helps but noone else responded, and i have a 98 so i dont know if its the same or not....

Go ahead and drop the tranny too. If you want to make things easier yet, doing an engine rebuild is always easy preventative maintenance.

Im just kidding man. Check out installdr.com should be a helpful information on there. Otherwise, you ned power, from battery, spade connectors and battery terminals always make things easier. Ground, clean metal area to run ground wire. remote cable will basically act as a switch that tells the amp to turn on when the head unit is. Connects to the blue wire coming out of the head unit. Rca's send the audio signal from the head unit to the amplifier. And of course your speaker wires, and bass **** if applicable. Thats a rough idea of what you need to do. Don't forget you need stuff like a fuse holder, connectors.

Blue wire or blue wire with white stripe, dependent upon head unit.
