I have the Mach 460, and one of the rear speakers was sounding like it was blown. I bought some new speakers, installed them, and now the speakers will cut out when listening at the same volume as with the old speakers. I talked with a guy at Circuit City, and he said that the Mach system runs at higher ohms (more resistance) than normal systems. This means the speakers I have are overloading the amps, causing them to cut out. How can I fix this problem? Resistors maybe? Anybody know the ohmage of the Mach 460 system?

I thought that the mach systems had lower ohms than most speakers (2 ohms) and if not 2 ohms than certainly not any more than 4 ohms.

 

I believe that is wrong. I'm quite sure the speakers are 8 ohm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost 90%.

Hmm same thing just happened to me when I put a Fosgate 6x8 in the passenger side...
