Remote wire probably needs to be run to the front of the car to be switched. I am not sure if the stock amplifiers have internal switches in them. Either way, it should not matter. They still have to run a few other cables to the front reguardless.

the remote wire tells the amp when to turn on and when to turn off, you can run an external switch if you would rather switch it on and off manually.

What's your point? That is a bad idea if you are saying completely bypass the head units switching mechanism.

they were tryin to feed me some s*** sayin that if i dont hook it up right all my amps on my door speakers will cut off and not work and i told them that how is that possible when the remote wire just tell it to turn on and off and the rca only get a signal from the speakers on when to make the speakers hit and they didnt have nothing to say! i mean its not like im cutting into anything im just linking wires together! i think they were just tryin to make money, cuz i dont think they knew that i hook up systems for my buddies all the time! o well they lost all of my respect!
