Help me out guys!
Ok, I got a few questions so hopefully I will get plenty of feedback. As soon as it warms up here in western MD, Im gonna get my 98 back out. I have my beater now and Im dieing to get the stang back on the road. I plan on getting about 600 bucks back from income taxes and I have alittle more saved up, so remember Im on a budget.
First off, I want new subs! I started off buying some cheapy tube subs from a friend and then went to some cheap Jensens. I want more power becuase my current system sucks. I was thinking about a set of Kicker CVR12 4 ohms wired in parralel. I actually already ordered one but I can cancel still if I need to. I already have a Phoenix Gold 800w 4ch amp so I thought maybe I could get a set of PG subs to match. Everthing looks awesome when it matches. So now I need another amp to run the subs. This may sound confusing now but you'll see my visual in the end. So, what do you guys think about 2 PG subs run off another PG amp?
Well, I have another project in mind. And yes, Im taking these one at a time. That amp I already have is running 2 additional speakers I fit in my stang. I enlarged 2 openings where the back speakers are. One of my friends can do fiberglassing and he's willing to teach me here soon when he finishs a console project in his Jetta. I would like to take that crappy carpeted board( I think called the package tray) and fiberglass it. If I do, and I really want to, I will take those additional speakers and mount them in the tray, perhaps my 6*8's if I can find a grill for them, and a set of tweeters. I was thinking take 2 coke cans and cut them at a extremely shallow angle and make a sort of torpedo look with the tweets at the end. Ok, so now I have a fiberglass tray with tweeters and the xtra speakers run off my 800w and 2 subs run of the new amp. Still following along?
One last thing, I hope your still reading. The trunk floor on the Mustangs suck. Not flat, gotta watch for the gas tank, etc. I was thinking about laying down a plywood floor and having it carpeted. I have a shop with the needed tools.
Ok, hopefully you all got that. To sum it all up. What do you think about some decent PG subs( like the ones listed on top at http://www.phoenixgold.com/2004/octane-zrspeakers.html) on a perhaps 1500w PG amp. And what are some quality tweeters? Thanks for your help and any suggestions giving. This sounds like alot but I can get the labor and some parts free. Thanks guys.

doing all pg equipment isn't a bad idea at all. they make really good stuff. the octane series is mainly for appearance reason, not a whole lot of awesome performance out of it but it will be pretty decent the xenon series is their real new "performance line". What I am saying is... P.G. is equipment that will work great in your car.
Thanks for your assurance. Of course a single brand can not make high quality everything so there is always a mix of stuff, but I think a set of Octane ZR subs would look awesome with the amps and would go well with my floor I want to put in. Atleast better than the CVR's I was gonna get.
Hmm, I wish I could give a visual image of how I want this to look. I like how the PG ZR's look becuase yes it is kinda flashy, and thats exactly how my amp looks so it would match really well. I'm going to upholster the floor black in the same material as my headliner with a green stang on it so it wil be really black in the back and that silver with the lights would look awesome. Am not going to make it look ricey, dont worry, but just nice lookin. Im used to 2 10" jensens not tuned in so I think I will still be happy with the ZR's right? I dont want serious quality stuff, just enough to thump.
