engine noise in speakers

alright so i was installing my speakers today and they worked fine when the car was off but when i started to car i have engine noise coming through the speakers! i was wondering what it would be? i was told somthing about a resistor would deaden the noise! but im not positive pleas respond! thanks

are you amped? you have a ground issue my friend. if amped check your ground on the amp, if not amped check and make sure you do not have your speaker wire pinched or grounded out via a screw

how could it be my ground wire? i thought it might be in my remote wire because it is linked with the radio ignition wire.

def a ground wire, they do that why its not grounded right. you hear a buzz or wierd noise in the background, and it gets louder as the rpms or speed go up, correct. make shure everything has a VERY GOOD ground, to a unpainted surface with a good bult and connecter. scrape the paint off the area that you are going to ground the wire too. the frame is the best, just dont use any piece of metal that you see. the bottom of the seat frames work good because they are bulted to the unibody. most people make mistakes in there wiring because of bad grounds.

My speakers make noise in my beater metro when i hit the window wipers or fluid...what about that?

haha i had the problem once with my corolla turns out the guy before me put CHEAP SPARK PLUG WIRES on it. A few dollars later lost the noise and it ran alot better. So check that and do you have an aftermarket coil on it? you might need a resistor on the power to that to because my dads mustang did that since it was a cheap radio

Yup its the ground, same thing happened to me, my amp actually went out so I replaced it I had a Kicker 350.4, and now I have an MTC 3404 which is a way better amp and i regrounded it and the engine noise is gone....

ok so i moved the ground to the bolt underneath the rear seat and i tryed the bolt for the seatbelt and they both didnt work! any more suggestions? i absolutely have no clue why it is doing it! i know it has to be the ground wire now but where can i bolt it to actually get it grounded good? cuz it seems like every place i try doesnt work please help me the continuous beat from my speakers is very loud and annoying i need help quick! thanks

what kind of amp? what guage wire are you running for your ground? is the amp new or used? did you buy it new or used ?

pheonix digital amp, im usin 10 gauge for the 12 volt and 10 gauge for the ground, i bought the amp new, and i used it in my explorer i had before the stang it is pratically brand new!
