Default iPod Help in 2006 GT

I picked up my Torch red GT on Tuesday, what a fantastic vehicle. I come from London, the land of the Mini, so a V8 motor is a real treat!!!

I would like to connect an iPod to the Shaker 500 stereo, is there a kit or does anyone know what the Aux button controls, is it a phono in???

Apologies if this has been covered before, but as you can see, I'm a newbe.

Also, do you know if any HID mods are available, the headlights are not the best I've experienced!

Do you want it hardwired, or just a wireless transmitter? The transmitter would be the cheaper option, around $30, just plugs into the headphone port and transmits at the frequency you choose, then you just set your radio to the same frequency.

The good wireless transmitters are much more than $30.

You can geta wired modulator which will sound much better for around $40-$50.

Can you let me know which hard wired kit will work with a Shaker 500? I have tried a iTrip, the quality was not ideal, so hard wired is the solution for me!!!

iTrip is the BIGGEST peice of crap known to man. I have it and its crap.

The best one, with crystal clear sound and great range is the Monster cable iCarPlay: http://www.monstercable.com/computer...r.asp?pin=2084
its $69.95 but it sounds just like its hardwired.

Only sound good if you're in a radio market with few stations. Where I live, every other freq is a radio station. Lots of bleed. Makes iCarPlay sound like poo. Went with this instead:

Sounds the best and is way controlable by the little remote or the head unit.

They make auxiliary input adapters for that year mustang. Slaps right on the factory radio - gives you two RCA inputs. Sounds lightyears better than even a wired FM trans.

They also make control modules, but these come close to 200 dollars rather than just 60.
