iPod Help in 2006 GT
Ford makes an interface called TripTunes. It's in the 2006 Accessories catalog for the Mustang. I inquired at the local dealer and the part number has already been changed and they didn't have a release date yet. The old number is 19C42 (or maybe it was 19C142).
I just ordered a 2006 GT Convertible (Windveil and Parchment | 5spd | 18" polished | etc. - skipped the auto trans and Shaker 1000) and would like to have the same functionality that I added to my 2001 Ranger. I basically connect a male-to-male stereo headphone jack from the mp3 player to a plug in the dash and choose AUX on the head unit.

Use the above adapter and you can customize inputs to your heart's desire. You can convert those RCA's to whatever fits your needs.
