I heard that people buy the dual packages that have the subs and the enclosure and then thrash the subs and put different subs in the enclosure. Me personally I don't like them. I think that if you have a very limited budget and can't afford top brand then you should be aight. What I did when I was budgeted was look on ebay and I found this deal for an: amp, 2 12's, wiring kit, enclosure(bypass) for $175 all Pyramid. I thought it sounded great! My friend has the amp today and it's pushing his P. Miller subs and man, they hit hard! I have 2 10inch RF P2's and a RF P3001 amp and love it even more! Sorry I said a lot lol

In every aspect except durability. There are maybe a couple brands deneath them, no more than 2 or 3 though. I will say I have had them in my winter car and have 2 of those dual 12" boxes in that car and beat the hell out of them with my 1200w Phoenix Gold amp. They took it for longer than any of the other subs I had before them. Kenwood's, Pioneers, Power Acoustik's, pretty much everything Best Buy sells I have had in my car and those lasted the longest, and by that I mean until I blew them.

Everything that best buy sells "IS BOTTOM LINE". One top of the line sub will out pound two bottom line subs hands down also one top line sub will sound way better then 2 bottom line. You have to rember sound quality may be a factor also and dual sound like someone taking a S***. I worked for best buy install and it pissed me off to be wasting my time putting that junk into cars. As for blowing subs thats not hard to do if you dont have everything hooked up right.

Just because its "Name Brand" does not make it top of the line even name brand people make junk to compete with sony, dual, ect... if you know your stuff you will see there is diffrent levels the each maker has. Rockford Fosgate has the P series (sold at best buy) and the T series (sold at high end stores). Kick has the Comps (sold at Circuit City) and the L7 (sold at high end stores).
