Whats the best radar detector out there? I have an old one and i want to upgrade.

hands down the best radar detector is the Valentine 1.

Or the Passport 8500 X50, that is supposed to be right there with the valentine.

cobra and passport are great ones, but Valentine 1 are by far the best

My vote is for the Escort X50. I know it an the Valentine 1 are very very comparable. I am more familiar with the Escort's and Beltronics than any other ones. Something I am not sure if the Valentine 1 offers is... Escort as a company if you purchase an Escort radar detector and a new radar technology is available in the new model X50 you ship it to them and the upgrade it free of charge, so you always have whats the best of the best.
