Default directed amp

Has anyone out there ever had trouble with directed amps? i have a 1500 watt directed amp pushing 2 kicker L7's and it keeps shutting off...i know for a fact theres nothing wrong with the subs, and the installation is flawless...ive been over it a hundred times..when the subs hit, they hit hard and it sounds awesome, but the amp will just shut off at randon times while im driving, please tell me the amp isnt friend, cuz that **** was expensive.

How hot is it getting and are you giving it enough power?

hows it wired to what ohm? and hows your gain set? try turning the gain down a little bit and see how long it lasts. also when it shuts off go feel your ground wire and see if its warm cause if its warm that means you have a bad ground and its cutting out all you have to do it clean it better.

the amp doesnt get hot at all and the ground wire doesnt feel warm. the gain is turned half way and i have the bass remote turned a little under halfway..it doesnt seem like its going out when it hits too hard...it just cuts out at random times, whether its bumping or just barely audible. i tried grounding it in a new spot and it does the same thing...ive got a 4 gauge power cable and a 4 gauge ground cable...im not sure what gauge the speaker wire is, but i know its bigger than 16. i tried bridging the subs and running them through seperate channels and they sound better when i run them seperately. could one of the subs be blown and thats the reason its cutting out? i hooked up the subs in my buddys car and they play fine.

I would (would have) definatly recommend using 1/0 gauge. But I really don't think that would cause it to shut off at high and low volume levels. Honestly I am going to say it's A) Wiring to/connecting your woofers. B) The woofers themselves.

Is this a 1500w RMS amp? You have the model number?
