Default New HU Install Question...

Forgive me but I am new to installing HUs - not new to electronics :P

I went to Crutchfield and I know you would have to pick up a Ford RCA'S-DASH/AMP harness since you have to get around the mach 460 system on the 01 gt. However, all of all players (DVD and CD) on the Crutchfield site say "modified fit." Would I have to modify the housing of the HU or the comparment itself?

Please help!

if anything the capartment you hardly ever have to modify the cdplayer. i think its just a bracket in the back you have to take off or bend a little.

So just to clarify, all I would need (since Im using everything else from factory) is the:

*METRA 70-5519 FORD 2000-2001 AMPLIFIER INTEGRATOR PLUG (PN 265-790)
*Scosche Sound Kase SKFD223
*New HU
*Some time and effort

Am I missing anything? Am I good to go?
