Default headunit bridging

is this possible? like hooking up the rear speakers to an amp and then bridging the front speakers from the headunit so that it sends 100x2 instead of 50x4....? I dont see why it wouldnt but maybe not....

You may be able to. I think in doing so, you might open the door for a problems. My recomendation would be stick the amp on the front drivers and leave the rear drivers alone. Your HU will be able to provide some decent RAF.

It's definatly something no-one here with a reputable opinion would suggest. I myself would suggest running the amp on your front speakers and running the rear off your HU if you only have a 2 channel. Most people would tell you to put it on the back ones because they (generally) are larger. But amplifiers aren't made to make speakers have more bass and be louder. They are made to Amplify, hence "amplifi ER", all the sound frequencies the source outputs. So why put it on the rear speakers. You drive the car right? Put it on the speakers you'll hear most of the sound from.

hmm ok i might do that,i only said rear but yeah its most common,or i thought, and it would be easier to mount another amp on the other rear seat....but still if i hooked up the rear ones to the hu would bridging them work and be safe, and sound better?..thanks u2

Simply put, no don't do it. Like pj said, even if it does work, yoiu'll probably run into more problems than its worth.
