WHY ISNT THIS WORKING???
people from best buy told me i had premium sound and said i need a premium system interface so i bought it because he said that if i didn't have it that my amp in my speakers would blow. So i hooked up everything correctly and only the power turned on, on my cd player and then i took the cd player back and the system interface back and retried it and the same thing happens. So is it the system interface that is messing up the whole thing and not working? Or they gave me a wiring harness that only has 2 plugs and there are a total of 6 in my car with the original radio and cd player taken out, but the guy from best buy said that was the correct one...so basically all I'm asking is why my cd player won't play the music but it is on.
iv heard the same thing.....actually from a best buy employee as well
i would believe its true, as i cant really see a way around it, but there is a good article of how to
just add sum subs to the stock system here........http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/despeeds1.htm

It actually sounds as if the amps are not being turned on. Is it a "smart harness". Did you connect the harness yourself? Did you hook up the remote turn on wire? If you have the amps on, you should get sound. The other thing that you may be able to do is bypass the amp system. All the Mustangs with the Mach 460 system should have another wireharness in the dash from after the amps. You can unplug the speaker harness, and hook right in. Ford wired them this way because the Mach system was an upgrade, and they could swap everything out at the Dealer to a non Mach system if they had to.
