Amp wire routing...Solved
For those of you wondering how to run your amp wire without drilling any holes, I have solved that problem with the help of this forum. I took someones advice on here, I am sorry I forgot who it was ( or I would give them all of the credit) but they were right. First start your car and turn you sterring wheel all the way to the left, turn your car off. Then unbolt your battery tray, 1 strap goes across the battery, remove the neg. battery cable then the positive, lift the battery out and set on something, a wooden plank works great, unbolt the 3 screws holding the tray down, and remove. next, working from the inside of the wheel well remove the 2 plastic cam locks at the top, the the 1 cam lock thats about half way down. next loosen the rocker panel trim, its held on by plastic cam locks also, then gently pull on the rear plastic fender well cover to expose a large rubber gromet with a wiring harness running out of it. now go inside and pull your carpet back on the passenger side and look for a large wiring harnes going to the same large rubber gromet. from the inside it will apear to have a hole in it, its not actually a hole but it looks like it. stick a screw driver threw it to punch a hole in it it the place where it looks like a 3/8 inch hole. Now stick your Amp's power wire through it and go outside and pull it through. Run it to your battery and then put some silicon around your wire where it comes out of the gromet to seal it and then reassemble everything. Here is a picture from the underside showing you what the gromet looks like. I removed the battery to be able to run the wire better and as you can see I have some repair work to do from a dealer that didn't clean up a battery acid spill.
