selecting speaker size

what size speakers will fit within a mach 460 system in a 96 GT ? Ive heard 5X7 and ive also heard 6X8. Any info will help!

they say "6x8" but 5x7 and 5 1/4 both fit with an adapter. try crutchfield.com they have great info on what fits everywhere

Most 5x7's are the same as a 6x8

Yeah the both will fit, the 6x8's are a little bigger close to 6x9's so they can deliver a little more bass....

i suggest not usuing 6x8 or 5x7 and get a 5 1/4 componet set .that way you can make a wood plate that is the size of the 5x7 and you will be able to put a 5 1/4 and a tweeter in the stock location

im actualy cutting out pieces so 6x9 can fit in my car, soon cause only 4x6 fit now
