Default 04 GT Sirius Install *PICS*

I bought a steel strip from Home Depot for $5. Cut it down with a miter saw and molded it into shape with a vise, a hammer and some pliers. I then took the cigarette lighter end of the Sirius power supply and soldered some leads onto it, taped it up, and zip tied it behind the radio.

Attached the mounting bracket to the steel strip, mounted it above the A/C vents, and put everything back together. Much cheaper than the pro fit, and I like the location better.

The antennae is on the front passenger dash. I know everyone has comments about the antennae being on the inside of the vehicle, but I’ve done 5 installs for family and I’ve never had an issue with it on the dash.

The power supply is hard wired to the ignition, so the Sirius turns on and off with the key. I sounds good, but I am going to go ahead and get the PIE adapter to hardwire the audio as well.

Here is the steel strip, vise and some screws. Also the bracket that came with the Sirius that I screwed to the steel strip.

Here is the mount bent into shape. I spray painted it black so it doesn’t stick out too much.

Let me know what you guys think.
