Hello,

on my new GT Convertible i've a bit strange behaviour of my CD system.
First oll all, i could not load any CD, if i press the "Load" Button i hear some mechanical noise but
it won't take any CD. It feels that there is a mechanical blocking.

Second, everytyme i open or close a door or if i lock / unlock the car i hear a mechanical sound
fron the CD system for a couple of seconds then the display reads "CD Error".
It seems to me that the system make a kind of scan search for CD's.

Did anybody have a similar issue?
Or is this scanning for CD's a normal behaviour? The manual did't metioned anything about it.

Not normal....take it back to the dealer

 

It happened to my Shaker 1000 in the 2nd week of owning a new 2005 V6. Ford replaced the unit rather than try to repair it.
