I am trying again to post this and hopefully get some response. This is a real deal and not some scam. We have been in business for over 20 years and do hundreds of vehicle procurements and tests every year. My company, Automotive Testing and Development Services of Ontario, California, is conducting a study on the fuel economy and exhaust emissions of selected vehicles. We are looking for owners of 2004 through 2008 Ford Mustang GT (4.6L V-8) in the Los Angeles area who would be willing to participate in our study.
The study will take approximately 3 days (could be up to 5 in rare circumstances) and will consist of a visual inspection of the vehicle, a check of the OBD system, a Hp test on a dynamometer and an emissions test similar to the tests performed by Ford and EPA for new vehicle certification purposes. The vehicles will be driven not more than 300 miles including transport to and from our laboratory.
ATDS is an independent automotive testing company serving most of the major automotive manufacturers (including Ford, who are not the sponsor of this survey), parts suppliers, fuel companies and government agencies. The laboratory is recognized by both the California Air Resources Board and US EPA for emissions testing on new and in-use vehicles for regulatory compliance. All vehicles will be fully insured while in our possession and kept indoors when not on the road.
Each participating owner will receive a late model rental vehicle while their vehicle is in test; the rental vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of gas, unlimited mileage and full Loss Damage Waiver insurance protection. At the end of the program your vehicle will be vacuumed and washed and returned with a full tank of premium fuel. You will also receive a check for $250 and the results of the dyno Hp test. ATDS will make the exchange for your vehicle and its’ return at a time and place convenient to you such as your home, your office or even our laboratory if you want to see where your car is to be tested. Owners of test vehicles are welcome to visit our facility at any time and to observe testing on their vehicle if so desired.
This is a research project into the fuel economy and emissions of real world, in-use vehicles. There will be no legal action against any owner for any violations of the CA Vehicle Code due to unapproved aftermarket performance parts installed on a vehicle discovered during this program.
