Default REF Ticket

A few months ago I got a REF ticket. I will be putting on the the stock manifold, stock cats and a cam with a lot less lope and a new tune. Hopefully I can get this done before my court date. Has anyone got a REF ticket and went to court before getting the car re-smogged by a REF station? If so what happens? Will they impound the car or will you just have to pay the full ticket price. I have heard if you get the car fixed and it passes smog, then they will reduce the fine.

I will. I may go to the judge and ask for another extension. If he/she wont give me one, I will just pay the fine. I don't think my car will be tuned by the 13th. I need to order a new PCM.

I went to the court today and the Judge gave me a 30 day extension. The worst part of the whole ordeal was the waiting.

The car passed smog so the judge reduced the fine to $280.
