Did you see the videos Dave posted? Did you see the diversity, and depth of automotive enthusiam there? Each to his own, I guess, but if you haven't done one of these, you ought to. It might open you to some things you might find really interesting. I'm an old geezer, and I've owned and driven all kinds of cars. Go see how the rest of the car crazies cruiz now and then... Might be good for you.
Best regards, see ya around the asphalt !
John
P.S. City Dave : THANKS for posting. I'll BE there.

Hey John,
Looking forward to see you at the cruise. You cant miss my ride being its yellow with black stripes. I also have a MAA banner on the windshield. Look at the second youtube tape and you can see my car at the 4 second mark.

Matthew;
First of all, no offense intended, do your own thing. I fully understand where you're coming from. This is, after all, a Mustang forum, and I fully support it.
I rode for many years with Corvette guys. Still have the T-shirts, my wife still drives a C-6. Still have the pics of a dozen or more Corvettes strung out behind me in the rear view mirror on some back country road. Still moves me. I'll probably have another before I die. But for now, I'm enjoying my Pony like you can imagine. It's FUN!
I've always been a driver more than a waxer. Not that I can't appreciate beautifully kept cars, and the love that goes into restoring, modding, and maintaining all kinds of cars. But I just like driving, so I tend to go towards rallies, auto-x, drag racing, and track events, where I can get involved in driving.
The older I get, the more I realize that I have just barely scratched the surface
of the automobile enthusiasm in the world, so I try to get a taste of something different now and then, and it has been interesting the kinds of people you meet. The people behind the cars you see are the real story. They are always
happy to share their enthusiasm for their cars. Some of the finest people I've come to know are car crazy. And they don't all drive Mustangs.
"familycaronROIDS" kinda summed it up -"Though I own a Stang now I love cars in general so its cool to see everyone cruise together..."
Best Regards, and Happy New Year!
John

Dave: Hope to see ya there! Maybe I'll put some "warpaint" on my Pony and try to drag a few Sandy Eggo Ponies up with me.

Nice car that you sold. I raced a G8/GXP all last year who could beat me on street tires, when I was on race Hoosiers...
Congrats on the new GT. If my experience is worth anything, be slow to change ANYTHING. It's a helluva car dead stock. Most everything about any car is a compromise between performance, durability, NOISE, VIBRATION, and HARSHNESS (NVH); and most of all COST. Don't sell Ford short. Those engineers know what they're doing. They might even know what you want better than you do. Trust me, they got the 2011+ Mustangs, and especially the Coyote engine, RIGHT. Just drive it. After about six months, if you still think something needs changing, go for it.
I've raced mine for a year, and I might change the shocks, but I haven't yet....
Enjoy your new ride!
John
