Not too many locals eh?

I am in Burnaby and have an 89GT in pretty good condition. For some reason the back end has a slope to the right on it - think it is springs.

The mustang wasn't worth a s**t in the snow the other week - just left it in the garage.

Any idea where to get some good rubber floor mats locallyfor the beasts?

Canadian Tire pissed me off when I got a ticket for one of those licence plate surrounds with the plastic covers. Had it on one day and an RCMP pulled me over. He gave me a warning and I went back to Canadian Tire and one of the guys just laughed and said that yeah they sell other illegal stuff too. I failed to see the humour so refuse to buy anything there anymore.

My kid has a cash account at LORDCO and gets great discounts on parts.

I see there are a few 5.0L mustangs around. I was going look at one at work - black convertible (but I really don't need another beast in the yard.

For the money one of these costs you would be crazy to buy a new car.

I would really like to get a low mileage 93 GT. Would love a low mileage real Cobra too. Mine is the 89 GT Cobra but that is in name only as there is nothing special about it - just pretty clean and low mileage (115,000kms) - think it was driven by a guy older than I am.

So if you see an 89GT two tone grey with turbine wheels in Burnaby it likely me.

Was at the Lordco on Kingsway near Royal Oak this evening - the younger kid was getting bearings for the Chevy 350 he is rebuilding.

When I can get back into my garage I hope to do a few things on the car myself or get the kid to do them. In the meantime I needed to have a couple of things attended to and found TRAX in Port Moody to be pretty freindly, professional and quick. The hourly rate wasn't cheap but time it took to replace a swingarm and two Torque Struts was just 1 hour. On top of this I got to see the beast on a hoist and had free rein to trundle around the shop and talk to the mechanic as he was working. I would go back (I don't own shares and never met the guy before a week ago wednesday). Run by Rick Brouillette - good guy.

Keep out of the rain.
