Im new to the forum and mustangs in general I recently was given a 96 mustang gt with 150,000 miles on it and has been sitting for 6 years and was wondering if anyone knows a good shop in columbia sc to have look at to see that its safe to out back on the road any info would be helpful thanks

I would think a new battery, fresh tank of fuel, change all fluids and filters and hit the road. But if you want to take it to a shop I would suggest pro dyno in Fort Mill, SC. It's about 1 hour and 20 minutes from you, but the best place around.

I can come take a look, I'm over in Lexington. For starters, new fuel filter, oil change, air filter, new brake fluid, sea foam, transmission fluid. After that then its just driving it and finding little things like turning the rotors, balancing tires, wheel bearings, worn suspension.....Most of the stuff on the car will still be functioning, its a question of what can you live with and what do you want to pay for. Anyhow I can come help you do that stuff if you'd like and save you a bit of money before you take it in and get nickled and dimed at a service place.
