Gatlinburg 2013
Pics from trip to Gatlinburg Sept 10-13.
Weather was so-so and put a bit of a damper on out road trips. Only managed 2 runs on the Dragon and one run back-n-forth to Fontana Dam.
Cherohala was cut short due to heavy fog & rain
This happened less than 2 hours after I arrived (my friends 05 Saleen)
I can't go into details, cuz you know...people read things on the internet and we don't need anything "untrue" or "unreported" getting back to the insurance companies.
I will say that the car is safely back in Ohio and there were no injuries

Nice shots of the area, road, cars.
Hate to see the Mustang Saleen with the rear damage. Hope insurance comes quick and that the shop does a good job. No one hurt is the most important thing.
Hope the frame is okay.

Vid from a run on Dragon...it's @ speed limit due to cops near Deals Gap
Seems they are now using WiFi radar detectors at cetain points (hidden in the woods) and just sit there and monitor a screen, then point and pull you over...
Filmed from inside car, so excuse the shakiness from my co-pilot =)
First Dragon run on Wednesday...wide open this time...until i saw the cop! lol!
BTW, we didn't fully escape their grasp...one of our friends got pulled (47 in a 30). $300 ticket part of which was because he didn't have registration on him.

I agree Clint, in Washington, DC they have more and more camera's catching speeders, running red lights, and now installing to catch those who do not come to a complete stop at "stop" signs (squeal tires on pavement), or enter and crosswalk with pedestrians in the lane.
