No, it was with Twisted Stallions MCA & ECCC vette club.

My brake pads only had 8k of normal driving miles before I hit the track, but what I really needed was BETTER quality pads & brake fluid.

Yeah brake fluid was my suggestion. You flew by that corvette and kept going, must have been poking along.

Nice!! I am going to try to make a road race event this fall. Planning on changing pads to Hawk HP, fluid flush and replace with Brembo brake fluid, and a duct kit to cool the brakes. From all I have read and talked to people, those are the best places to start to have a successful and enjoyable first trip.

Looks like you had a lot of fun... where was that track at??

NCCAR....Near lake Gaston on the boarder fo VA & NC.
It is the Lotus inc. test track.

I am debating the Rear Sway Bar or just getting a Rear Strut Bar. The stock sway bar is already 24mm.

Looks like a blast Doug. Was this a single day event, is there another event planned?

I understand less flexing is better but looking at the rear structure of the car, could you actually tell the difference with and without the rear tower brace? Its not that expensive but it seems that the money could needed elsewhere for a more noticeable gain.

I was under the impression that a stiffer rear sway bar would help since the cars are set up from the factory to understeer already.

Has anyone gone to the Carolina Motorsports Park? I heard they're nice there.

For 275 a day it better be nice. We talked about going and emailed about charity laps but it seems the rule is you've got to pay to play. 275 gets you an intro class in the morning and driving with an instructor. Typically its 5-6 20 minute sessions you can get in, but if the crowd is light you can keep going. After you take the first class you can go back and go without an instructor, 225 I think. If you are serious about going a lot best bet is get in a club, they get discount rates for group deals.

VIR is having holiday laps again on Nov 9th. The calendar doesn't list the charity yet but we had a blast last time we went.
