Default First time at track...

Well going to my first track event on Aug 4th at NCCAR.......2mi rd course.

What kinda things do I need to know to help me out?
Anything I need to look at doing for race day (remove jack/spare, etc.)
What do u recommend I take with me besides a cooler of water?

Looking forward to this event! I will post pics to this thread when I get back.

Where is it? Is there any more room or slots for anyone else to go? I've been wanting to get my car on a road course.

I met these guys at SEMA, this is a cool facility. It appears to be very flat. They will rent the facility for a day or a weekend.

So far away......I'm always skeptical about taking the spare/jack out of the car before going somewhere, its just asking for a bucket of nails to bounce out of a truck.

Probably a tire gauge and pump to make any adjustments, upgrade your brake fluid and bleed them.

WOW, what a day! Great weather and a great track experience!

I used to have respect for Corvette's, but not after today.....first session of the day was nothing but waiting for Vett's to wave me by. My car handled GREAT, but a little advice for those who plan on taking their 5.0 out on a rd course: Upgrade teh brakes & Rear Sway bar. Two main things I could have used today, then a set of race seats. Even so ,the car out performed the majority of the vette's and every other mustang out there today. Can't wait to do it again!

Here's a video & some pics...(Last one is a photoshop of three pics, all cars in the shot are my car)
I have some GoPro footage as well that I will get edited and post later.

Was this with Tarheel Sports Car Club? I was going to recommend new brake pads before you go, but I was too late. Looks like a good time!
