Default Getting an alignment

Anyone else have a hard time finding a shop that can or will align your car? I went to 3 different shops today and NONE could/would align my car. 2 couldn't get the car up on their rack.

The last said they couldn't set up their equipment for my car because they didn't have the 2012 specs, even though I didn't want it set to factory specs. I told them the specs were the same for the 2011 model and to just use those, but their "alignment specialist" said the specs were different and it wouldn't work.

I guess I'll be doing my own alignments now.

I got my car aligned at tire kingdom after my spring swap. I have all the stock mounts though.

There are ways you can do it yourself, hopefully I'll be getting the equipment to do that

I've run into the rack problem before for inspections...apparently the contact points on the car would puncture the gas tank or something of that nature? I have a 2007 so I'm not sure if it's the same but I doubt that one is uncommon.

There's got to be somewhere in your area that you can get it done. I used the local Goodyear dealer too... I paid handsomely for it but they did it.

I use Performance Chassis in Cary. I forget where you said you were from, but they are a great group of guys. I had issues with alignments at numerous shops with my G8 and they worked their magic and will put it to any specs you tell them.
