Default Considering going to Mooresville Dragway tomorrow(sat)

Not sure if they will be open yet or not, but if they happen to run tomorrow I may try to go up there and see how the car does..provided I can get some traction. If anyone is interested in gong, let me know. I am at work right now but will try calling the track number when I can to see if there is info available.

Yeah.. after I posted I had some time to check the website on my phone. I thought they were running at least a couple more weeks. Oh well. Shadyside opens back up January 6 weather permitting... but their track is not usually prepped very well.

Amen. Need to coat your tires with super glue to make them stick at Shadyside.

I wonder if they EVER use VHT to help prep the track? I see it being sketchy when they open in Jan... especially if weather is in the 50's. Probably still won't do that great there even with my drag radials. Don't have a huge sidewall on these 20's. They hold perfect on the straight in everything but 1st gear.. although if I was to lower pressure to 24 or so, it might do a little better.

When I ran Mickey Thompson 305/35/18s on my stock wheels I would drop them down to 17-18psi. If I got them hot they would stick.

The track prep at Shadyside has gone to hell basically. Only time is it sticky is when there is a outlaw race coming up. Sad really, it has always been my favorite track to go to. If you do end up going let me know, I might take the blue car to see how it does since the tune.
