VIR track day March 11-12
Anyone else interested in this? I'm probably going to give this a try since holiday laps were so much fun.

The Track Daze events are pretty cool. There is a lot of classroom instruction, as well as an instructor that rides with you during your sessions. They really show you HOW to drive and how to go fast. Really cool stuff. I wanted to do one last year, but scheduling was an issue. I will have to see about taking a couple of days off and doing this one.

Might check about reserving a helmet at the track for rent. Usually most tracks have limited rentals. Not to say it wouldn't come in handy for other events, or when your wife finds out how much you've spent on your car.
I'm waiting on pricing before committing to anything. If its anything like kershaw prices i'm out, just too much with all the gas and hotel. Its sad that it cost as much to go use your car's potential legally as it does for the ticket you would get.

I haven't checked the link (I'm at work) but it sounds like they don't have prices posted. If it is like last year, it was $375 for the two day session if I am not mistaken... however, you could sign up for only one day if you wanted to I believe. Believe it or not, it is much cheaper than some of them. Chow Motorsports wanted almost $600 for 2 days.

Brembo synthetic fluid and Hawk pads front and rear is what I was told to do by a pretty serious road course racer. He said it will make the experience MUCH more enjoyable. He also reccommended brake cooling ducts as well, specifically "Full Tilt Boogie racing" cooling duct kit. They have a lot of stuff for road course guys.
