He's about maxed out on the stock bottom. We are working that issue now.

How much boost? I guess if you don't romp on it all the time it won't go up in flames right away. So what is the proven threshold for that motor?

From what i've read all over this forum 450 rwhp is the maximum reliable power that the bottom end can take.

I'm kind of confused how it made as much boost as it did, because it's got the 9psi pulley on it and it was cranking out 11.95 when it hit 521hp. Dan made sure to bring the tune down for reliability in the final tune. 484hp is where it's sitting right now.

Colder temperatures increase boost.

Mine was making 11.6 with the 10lb pulley in Sept. I don't think its an exact science.

Good. I was wondering if Dan may have seemed alarmed/concerned by those numbers. I think Jeffk is also in the 485hp range with his.

Dan didn't seem too concerned about it being at 485. I told him that its my daily and I tend to drive it hard. He told me to get long tubes and upgrade to the GT500 fuel pumps for more peace of mind.

I was referring to the 521hp number. :-) 485 is still crazy fast I'm sure.
