That's a pretty long trial if you're just playing around.
If you're a student of any sort you can get an academic price on the software and it's a lot lot cheaper. Same exact software as the retail it just has an "academic" license which means you're not supposed to use it to make money i.e. graphic design or commercial.
Other options as people have mentioned are ebay. One thing you can do is buy an older version cheaply - make sure it is UNREGISTERED - and then purcahse an upgrade, which might come out cheaper in the end but you have to really look around and make sure the sellers aren't ripping you off. Beware high shipping costs (it shouldn't cost more than $15 to ship)

you do know the government can and will read sites/pages like this to get information on people that are pirating illegal and expensive programs

i personally aint worried about it, but for the rest of you guys that are downloading illegal copies of music, programs, other stuff, this is something that shouldnt be discussed in a public matter.
plus it puts the site in danger, discussing stuff like that. im registered on other message boards, where in their site rules, it strictly states stuff like:
"We can't discuss pirated or illegal software. What you/we/I do behind closed doors is not the business of site's name. That being said, this site cannot be a venue for swapping or even discussing illegal software.
The mention of it could possibly have the entire site closed down. I know it seems like everyone is doing it, and that may be, but we just can't discuss it. It's your Private business."
i got that (almost) direct quote from thirdgen.org, which has a sticky in one of their sections strictly prohibitting the discussion of illegal programs.
now the use of them is no where stated, because the use of them is strictly on your terms, whether or not its for the use of the site or not, but the discussion of them on a message board puts the site in danger.
