Diagonal Scan Lines

Right im taking this signature for an Example:



Take your signature that you have chosen And Open a new document File > New with these settings:


Then zoom in 1600% on the little frame in the top right hand corner (or you can just roll your mouse wheel all the way down or up to zoom in.)



Then Grab the pencil tool.



Then click in these pixel spots as in the picture below Make sure you have only 1 pixel selected shown in the image too:




Go to Edit > Define Pattern Call it Diagonal Scan Lines Click Ok.

Now go back to your Signature that you want to add this effect, and make a new layer Layer > New > Layer... or Ctrl + Shift + N <- The Hotkey.



with a new layer you should have:



Then go to Edit > Fill... Then where it says Use: Make it Pattern then Click Custom Pattern, and select your pattern you just defined.



Click Ok, then you should have this.. Where you have the Layers Palette, Change the Opacity to 25% or lower, Whatever looks best this is set to 25% in the Image below::



And your done just add some other stuff like Fonts, Animation, etc...

You can also find out how to make other Scan Lines, Just by changing the pattern at the beginning.
