No sir, you aren't wasting your time. What she meant was that I had proposed the idea to get T-Shirts made, just to see if there was any interest from the chapter.
We had some interest, but I failed to pursue the idea much further because I kept getting tied up in other things and forgetting, so britt (Chapter Member) came here to ask for an chop just to get some ideas. But then she brought back that original that you had created (which I didn't even know she had come here and asked for) and it was awesome work, so we decided to go with it and I came in here to help spruce it up a bit.
It started as an idea getter, but the work you've done has turned it into a final product, if it's okay with you. I'm obviously not going to use your design unless you condone it, but if you're okay with it, then it will definitely become our logo and have shirts made of it.
Does that make sense? Sorry for the confusion. I know I speak for the entire chapter when I say that we appreciate every second you have put into this.

appologies.. I didn't mean to sound like an **** up there, I blame lack of sleep, working nights.. no excuse.. just didn't understand what was going on.. all I wanted was to make something that you wanted.
I have no problem with you using any of these designs (cept maybe the misspelled chaper one)
and hey, its not like you owe me anything.. if you don't use them.. not a problem. once you decide on a final and we have MF's approval.. I'll throw it up in my shop to show you what it would look like on items..

It's all good. Can you pull the skulls out of the acronym logo and darken up the CRC part? Or possibly just darken up the CRC. I don't mind the skulls really, I just think they are more visible than the actual acronym currently.
I actually showed the original copy (1st draft) of the state logo to a graphic designer, and asked for his opinion. He said it looks great, but the only thing he noticed was that you have "conflicting drop shadows." He said if you correct the lighting/shadow effects it will look like an entirely different image."
Now to me...that is all german, but if it makes sense to you then let me know haha, I think it looks sick as is but if whatever he said would make it better than by all means go for it.

yeah, i know what he was talking about the drop shadows.. they were'nt nec. conflicting, i just had some "glows" on a couple things AND drop shadows.. which made it look conflicting.. no problem.. thats fixed... please let him know all drop shadows are at a congruent 105 degrees NW now..
I don't know if it made that much of a difference though.. it IS cleaner.. (most people wouldn't have spotted that - kudos for his good eye, he's obviously in the right line of work - lol) i'll leave you to decide skulls or no..

Sweet. Looks even better. As far as Mustang Forums as compared to Mustang...idk. We have the MF logo in the bottom corner so that is obvious, and I like Mustang more...but Mustang Forums is more logical in the flow of things.
I'm going to take these back to the chapter and see what everyone thinks before I make any further decisions though. I'm pretty sure the state logo is perfect at this point to be honest. The Graphic Designer mentioned the bezzle on the letters in Carolina Regional Chapter, and how it might be too severe of a chizel effect, but that was when it was red. Now that it is silver it is much less noticable, so let's not even worry about that. I'll make sure everyone agrees with the look we have now, and I'll see what they think about the two acronym logos.
