So every now and then my blinkers will not blink. Usually it is the passenger side one while the driver side will blink. But sometimes at night and sometimes during the day too they will not blink. Mostly at night though. Can anyone help me figure out why this is?

 

Did you try changing the blinker fluid.


Does the brake light also work and sometimes not work along with the blinker?

I would change the flasher before I mess with anything... Buy a "heavy duty" flasher, it will help in diagnosis if the flasher ends up not being the problem.

When you turn the blinker on and it does not flash, get out to check if the lights are on front and back. If so, it is almost certainly the flasher that is your problem.

 

I would check the grounds... especially if it's an intermittent problem.

 

it blinks with the lights off but not with the lights on. the blinker just stays on.
