Yeah you said you have the hood already, I meant it will be tougher to find a 71-73 with the flat hood in the future, since everyone either wants the scooped hood or its the only one they can get.

What color is it?

Oh ok I get you now, misunderstood you at first. The first car my dad looked at was a mach with the flat hood, but it was a more expensive than this one and in way worse shape.

here's the only two pics I have of it from the ad, it's described as a dark gunmetal grey. My dad and I will be picking it up tomorrow so I'll be sure to take lots of pics then and post them up, so look for a thread

Looking around I couldnt find a flat steel hood for a 71-73 in the aftermarket, they just arent there. Every aftermarket hood I found had the scoops, so if its bent and rusted like mine, and you cant find a straight one near you, then you get a scooped hood. You can still get the flat hood in fiberglass, just not steel.

Welcome to my world, hopefully yours int swiss cheese...
here in phoenix we have a salvage yard that has nothing but classics...you personally cant take the stuff off the cars so they are in great condition and taken off correctly without damaging other parts of the cars...you should check them out, they may have ur flat steel hood.
