where to find rims at??
i am looking for a more modern style rim for my 65 black coupe. what is the correct bolt pattern for that car. it also seems that there are not many options for a 65. are there adaptors??? what bolt pattern can be adjusted so they can fit?? sorry for sounding like an idiot but i am kinda new to all this
i have a 5 lug rim. i dont want torq thrust rims i dont want elanor style rims. i see them too much. i am looking for something a little diferent. i am just not sure how to begin to look for them. what bolt pattern and offset is acceptable??? any help would really be appreciated
5x4.5 bolt pattern
Can go up to 4.5" backspacing on the front and 5-6" on the rear. The rear you might have to cut a piece of metal on each side, but I doubt it.
Check out tire rack, summit racing, jegs, discount tire.

hate to sound like an idiot, but i think i kinda am.....that being said what bolt pattern, offset , and size am i capable of adding. i am so lost at this stuff. i just dont want to walk into butler tire and have them rip me off. i wold appreciate all the help i can get. i need to know what size tire and rim i am capable of adding.
You can go with a 16 or 17 inch wheel and still have the car look right. Alot of the newer wheels will require a spacer to get the right backspacing.
Also, if your car does not have power steering then I would not go wider than 215 or 225 front depending on the wheel you go with.
Personally I would not go larger than 16.
Here are some wheel fitment charts.
