Pics of badass custom Coupes!

It a 'frankenmotor'. It's a 4.6L with Teksid block, forged Cobra crank, Manley rods, Mahle pistons, 01 Cobra heads and cams, 03 Mach 1 intake, 01 Cobra electronics, and a few other goodies. I guess it's closest to an 01 Cobra. Winter project is Vortech blower.

Actually, the engine sits 3/4" to the passenger side to make room for the master. The booster has to go in first, then the engine, then the master. The clutch master cylinder is under the dash. It is too tight for headers, even shorties, though I have seen a couple with them, but they used a different front end kit.

I'm hoping I can fit an air-to-air intercooler somewhere, probably down low with the Shelby front valance. I'm thinking about getting the Marauder intake lid with the TB on the driver's side. Route the Vortech output down the passenger side, intercooler across the front and back up the driver's side, through the MAF into the TB. But I really don't think there will be room for the a-to-a intercooler and there isn't enough room between the cam covers and the apron for the Vortech air-to-water intercooler, so I might just have to skip it. I figure I can probably run 7 or 8 lbs of boost without it. That should make 475-500 HP at the flywheel, 430 or so at the wheels. My compression is 10.5:1.
It's a little squirrely now. It breaks loose the tires in first by mashing it, though they usually hook up after 50' for so, then break loose with the shift to 2nd and 3rd. It's a lot of fun and usually surprises 'innocent bystanders'. It's fun at car shows because people usually walk by it (it's only a little red coupe) then see something odd out of the corner of their eye and walk back. Most old guys thinks it's a Boss 429 but can't find a carburator.
