Default ENGINE REMOVAL

I'm pulling the 289 from my 1967. I want to remove the engine only and my book says to unbolt the torque converter fro the flywheel through the inspection port. I have everthing ready but I need some help. There are both nuts (9/16) and between them bolts (1/2) visible at the inspection port. Do I need to take both the nuts off and the bolts out?

Yep, just remove the nuts, one at a time and rotate assembly to get to them all.
