Default customized trunks

Can you guys show pictures of your customized trunks? Looking to do something with mine but would like to see what you all have done to get some ideas before starting.

Thanks in advance.

People fully carpet the trunk and rear quarter panels and make there trunks more like a modern one. Also people add speakers and all that jazz in their trunks.

I really wish I knew how to fully carpet my trunk I would love to do that.

buy carpet and some particle board etc

you cover the board in carpet and screw down some brackets into the trunk floor to screw the board to lay the carpet down bammm custom trunk

I took a 2x4 and cut it on an angle and placed that in the trunk on either side of the fuel tank then using 5/8" birch plywood I laid in a floor. The 2x4 allows you to get it level. I cut out the center to allow access in that cavity over the fuel tank. This is where I have my MSD box, 2 amps, 3 additional fuse blocks and a pile of other custom electrical. I then covered the access door in black carpet as well as the rest of the plywood floor. Carpet was purchased from Home Depot is is pretty cheap. It looks ok but I haven't been able to finish it off and I'm now thinking about changing it all up.

I'm now making plans on doing a modular fiberglass trunk which will include specific areas for small emergency kit/tools, dual subs, etc. The main storage floor area will include an inlaid rubber mat with tie downs around to secure items like folding chairs. Haven't decided if I'll finish it off with carpet, vinyl or paint just yet.

Best thing to do is Google 'custom trunk' and things like that. There are a lot of fabrication sites that have some great examples and write ups.

Well, maybe not too custom...although notice how the stripes wrap around the trunk edges.

Why would anyone want all the extra weight of the heavy particle board in the car?

If you want your trunk carpeted, take a look at most of the Mustang parts shops. They usually sell tunk carpet.

I have the OE type trunk mat like GT350 Klone. I think its cool.
