Thinkin bout doin a 68 CS Coupe, dont really know why, I really like the 67-8 coupes and they are cheaper but I am intrigued by the CS, I found this one near my house, parked for 10 years, rusted floor a little and rust on bottom of doors, all parts are there including the early marchal fog lights, it has a 289 (dont think it runs) auto.
Its Meadowlark yellow, which I like ( i know that is weird)

Check out the link, what you think? Oak

I think its a neat car too but i dont think i'd be willing to pay that much for a vehicle that needs a full restoration, i payed 7500 for my coupe and while its not rare or special it has a nice paint job and i enjoy driving it just the same

if it's not rotten to crap I'd buy that (if report checks out it actually is a GT/CS). maybe even if it were crap. you can get a bog standard not rusted 68 coupe with a V8 for about 7000$ i guess. so the price doesn't seem to be unfair?! but I'm in Europe, so couldn't really tell

Price is a little high. I guess it depends on how much its worth to you. good luck with the sale.

Default Heres the report

I think I am with most here, if it was a running driving car I would think about it, for the same price I could get a running driving coupe with much better expectations, I love BA mustangs car and the way it sits, and after I shove in a Kasse big block 529 it will go too lol

Here is a copy of the report, if it works

If the price was lower or it was in better shape i would think about it.I would wait a while or bring like 3k in cash what's the worse thing that can happen? And the fog lights used on them where used on Shelby's too and not remade yet so they ain't cheap at all.

I agree, CS cars are nice collectibles. Somebody will pay that price for it. You don't have to blow money on a shelby and yet you still have a somewhat rare car.

I was almost jumping up and down when there was a chance my VIN # in my '67 might be a '68 GT/CS. Ended up just being a high option car...

It looks like a nice car to restore. Finding the right car at the right price isn't easy. This could be the right car (if 55K is true, not too rusty and complete).

When completed it is a $18-$22K car IMO.

If it were a project car for me, I would estimate:
rebuild the engine/trans $3K
rust repair (wild card here) assume $2K
nice body and paint $5K
interior $1K
tires and other unknown $2K.

If I were doing this car, I would look to be at $5K or so and really look at the car for rust and being correct and complete.

^^^^^^Agree with GT350 there
That's a good way to lay it all out price wise
