I'd stay away from a salvage title one.

I bought my 67 when I was 15 and restored it through high school while daily driving it. I eventually got tired of it about 3 years after that and sold it for a newer mustang. It was fun to work on but was frustrating for me when it would break down going to school.

If I was to do it again, I would have a cheap beater of a DD and then have the mustang as a project. I currently daily a civic sedan, but have a 64 GMC in the garage that I am restoring.

I say go for it, especially if you can find one running and have a little bit of dough to make some investments in upgrades. You could put a summit carb on it with a choke and makes them very streetable and easy adjusted, or a little more and an efi carb system.

Post some pics or links of the ones you are looking at!
