Default Sputter-Sputter

Hey, I got a new prolem.[:@]
I took about a 50 mile trip today...on the way there it was all peachy.
On the way back something happened and the car started to sputter.
Like when one of your plugs isnt hooked up. Id have to floor it to make it move at all but it was still puttering. Idles just fine though. What do ya think?

Fuel filter
Seconded. [sm=lol.gif]

Same problem happened to me in a rental truck driving cross-country (breaking down in the middle of nowhere really bites!).

Our 65 did that once would idle fine but the minute you tried to go it would start sputtering and missing. Turned out to be the coil

Points and condenser are very easy to replace. Just pay attention to the way you take things apart and put the new parts in the same way. You're going to have to adjust the gap, so I hope you have someone to help you, because you can't very well look for a spark and turn the key at the same time.

Sure you can. A screw driver across the solenoid works every time!
