1 wheel spining
superdavid.....i've seen a couple companies that make aftermarket electronic lockers
the one that comes to mind is the Eaton E-locker.....i believe they make one for the 9" but not the 8" rears. These are the same idea as the lockers that are in TRD Off-Road Tacomas and i think the Wrangler Rubicons also.

I was looking at the Detroit EZ locker that Shift101Easy posted a link for. Any body use one of these on the street? I did some on line looking but all I could find was guys using them off road.
you CAN get 2 wheel spin in your open diff if traction issues are identical to each tire.. typically.. youll get the left rear spinning and the right rear holding.. but thats pretty much based on the fact that you sitting in the drivers seat is enough weight to hold the tire there..
ive explained differentials too many times already.. ill go see if i can find a post iv emade

i have never noticed my stock rear end burn out both wheels. Just the passenger side.... it makes me mad, i have a almost shot tire on one side, and a almost new tire on the other, so i had to rotate them.
Should not rotate from side to side only front to back. Radials don't like turning the other way once they are broke in. They can come apart. If you power brake it sometimes you can get it to burn both.
Yeah, if you have a manual, or it will work with an automatic also, put it in reverse and go back a couple dozen feet (don't go too fast) and then throw it in 1st/D and floor it you can smoke both tires. With an auto it takes more timing cause you have to step on it right when the tranny switches over. Rolling backwards and shifting momentum will give you enough wheelspin to smoke both tires. I used to do it in my Ranger with a 5spd and the 2.3l I-4 so I imagine you could manage it with a V8. That's a pretty retarded way of doing it though, unless of course you like spending 1000 dollars on rear ends.
oh, i dont like doign that to my car, it can tear up numerous items. I sorta did it once, but i just backed out of a driveway, and when i put it in first, i stepped on it, and it just sat there smoking the tires. It didn't even move, i had to let off the gas.
Lets play "how many ways are there to tear up you ride?" Power brake is when you hold the brake and stomp the gas. You sit in one place and just roast the snot out of the tires. It is hard on drive trains and tires and engines and brakes and well...the whole freaking car. But they sure are fun! By applying some brake to the back you are adding resistance to the spinning tire to get the other one to spin too. I doesn't always work.
